Right now, you’re reading this blog on your computer aren’t you? And then maybe you’ll go on your phone for a few hours. But this is the exact problem artist Lucas Lugarinho wishes to address.

Lugarinho studied art in college but before that, he also studied telecommunications. Consequently, his artwork focuses on human connections and the nature of communication. He even researched the relationship between the screens of digital devices and our eyes.
The artist mainly works with acrylic and oil and uses bright, pastel colors. His brushstrokes are short but abstract. The subjects of his paintings are made up of geometric shapes but still look fluid. Some of his work has a post-apocalyptic vibe.

But his works aren’t just flashy: they convey a deeper meaning about the nebulous connection between humans, technology, and even Earth.
Lugarinho is a young artist, so he’s still studying and learning, but we should expect big things from him as he gains more experience.
