Some painters just recreate reality. Frederic Belaubre wants to transform it.

Belaubre was born to a family of musicians in Marseilles, France. He graduated from the National Superior School of Fine Arts of Paris and paints as a way to find fulfillment and express his emotions.

The artist is inspired by moments of enjoyment, pleasure, anxiety, etc. They make up life and his paintings. His quest for fulfillment is paradoxically both wonderful and full of anxiety: time is finite, but special moments of fulfillment seem infinite.

Belaubre mainly works with watercolor. His pieces lie between realism and abstractionism: he uses simple shapes to clearly define recognizable objects.

Transfiguration is a key theme for Belaubre. He wants us to see moments where we strive for fulfillment as beautiful.

Today, he does exhibitions and galleries. You can buy his works here: https://www.saatchiart.com/en-kr/fredbelaubre
